Product Manager – Self-Sovereign Identity and Access Management (m/f/d)

What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with city officials and ministry stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical concepts.
- Design and maintain the product roadmap for self-sovereign identity (SSI) and access management solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams—developers, designers, and external partners—to ensure clear product objectives and timelines.
- Advocate for data privacy and security best practices, aligning with frameworks such as GDPR and eIDAS.
- Conduct market research and stay informed about emerging identity management trends and standards to refine product features.
- Support testing and implementation phases, ensuring smooth deployment within municipal and governmental environments.
- Identify innovative use cases and continuously improve product strategies to enhance user experience and trust.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record as a product manager or product owner in identity management or a related field.
- Knowledge of decentralized systems, blockchain, or SSI frameworks.
- Strong communication skills to engage with non-technical and technical stakeholders effectively.
- Analytical mindset and experience translating complex requirements into executable product features.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, especially around identity and data protection.
- Self-starter mentality with a passion for civic tech and social impact.

Compensation
This is a freelance, remote position, but you are also welcome to work on-site at our Providence, RI location if you prefer. We offer competitive compensation that aligns with your level of expertise and experience.
